A/B Testing Idea #312 - Make sure you facilitate the user experience of drop-down menus and pop-up windows
Description
Your users aren't perfect, they will regularly make mistakes with the cursor (as do we all!). For this reason, you need to create interfaces that are flexible and forgiving. Visitors are often confronted with two problems where this is concerned. The first one is when they accidentally move their cursor over a hover pop-up, which then immediately appears and can disrupt their process. The second is when they hover over for the drop-down menu purposefully but are unable to click on the desired option, either because it disappears too quickly or when they move their mouse. This can cause frustration and may even lead to people leaving your site. So give your user time and ease with which to use these functions.
