By offering online-only products, people will be more encouraged to make purchases as the products will seem to be more scarce in comparison to those products that can also be bought in store. The idea of scarcity makes products seem more desirable and will motivate quicker purchasing decisions.

Research has shown that products that are more difficult to come by, or that seem as though they may sell out more quickly, arouse our interests and become instantly more desirable.
